Don’t miss your chance to experience the enchanting music of GRAMMY-nominated jazz pianist Martin Bejerano and his trio! On Saturday, March 4, the trio will be performing live at the Zinc Bar, featuring bassist Edward Perez and drummer Obed Calvaire.

Acclaimed Latin GRAMMY-nominated pianist, composer, and educator Martin Bejerano has performed/recorded with numerous jazz luminaries, including his 20-year association with GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award-winning drummer Roy Haynes, Christian McBride Band, Dave Holland, Pat Metheny, Ignacio Berroa, Ron Carter, Russell Malone, Dafnis Prieto, Jonathan Kreisberg, Roxana Amed, and Lauren Kinhan, performing at nearly all of the major jazz clubs, festivals and venues around the world. He is featured on over 25 recordings, including his most recent Latin GRAMMY-nominated album #CubanAmerican, the GRAMMY-nominated Fountain of Youth with the Roy Haynes Quartet, and Roxana Amed’s Latin GRAMMY-nominated album Ontology.

An award-winning bandleader, Martin’s trio has performed at such notable venues as Symphony Space, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, The Jazz Gallery, Barquisimeto Jazz Festival, El Hatillo Jazz Festival, St. Petersburg Jazz Festival, Festival Miami, and Lucerne Piano Off-Stage Festival. He has been twice-awarded the prestigious “New Jazz Works” grant from Chamber Music America in 2010 and 2017, as well as composition grants and commissions from the Dranoff International 2 Piano Foundation and Sonos Chamber Orchestra. Outside of his performing and teaching career, Martin works with numerous music organizations, as a board member for Arts for Learning, as Artistic Director for The Dranoff International 2 Piano Foundation, and as a board member for the American Jazz Pianist Competition. Currently, Martin heads the Jazz Piano Studio at the highly acclaimed Frost School of Music, University of Miami, and continues touring and recording with his current project, #CubanAmerican Trio, as well as numerous other artists including Roy Haynes, Dafnis Prieto, Ignacio Berroa Trio, Jonathan Kreisberg Quartet, and Roxana Amed.
